From Summer 2020 to Spring 2022 I served as Assistant Director for UConn's Women in Math, Science, and Engineering Learning Community (LC). The LC hosts ~90 undergraduate women from a broad range of STEM majors. I independently taught the first-year seminar from 2020-2021, and indepdently created the curricula and taught the "returner" seminar from 2021-2022. The syllabi I developed for the returner classes are below.
I led a discussion section for MCB 1405 during Fall 2020. Throughout the semester I developed creative ways to engage students on a virtual platform. For example I asked them to brainstorm hybrid species for human use (akin to Oryx & Crake) and identify "good" and "bad" uses for CRISPR.
